Happy Birthday Ty-Man

Today is my baby's 6th birthday. It is so hard to believe that he is so grown up already. Words can't even begin to express how sad I am that he is growing up so quickly. I wish they both could stay my babies forever! Even though he's MORE than handful most of the time, I love him more than he will ever know. Happy Birthday little man!!!

Distractions...

Ok...so I know it's been almost three weeks since my last post. There really hasn't been anything too terribly exciting going on around here lately. I guess I'll start where I left off....

I finally gave in and started reading the Twilight series. (which explains my lack of interest in blogging lately) I started two weeks ago, and I just started the fourth book last night. Seriously, these are the first books I've read since I graduated high school. And actually, I don't even know that I read an entire book then, I always just skimmed enough to get by! :-) I just can't seem to put them down! Thanks alot Nicole!!!

New years...came and went without too much excitement. We spent the night with the McLaughlins playing cards and guitar hero...I know you guys are jealous! We actually managed to stay until 3am which is the latest I've been up in years. This is the second year we've spent New Years with them, hopefully this will be a tradition we can keep for many more years. Of course with New Years comes resolutions. I usually don't make any resolutions, but this year I decided to give it a try. As many of you know,I've been taking a kickboxing class at the gym. I've lost 35lbs. so far. I've been in somewhat of a rut the past couple of months, so my goal this year is to loose 50 more pounds. I'm going to try to go the gym at least 4-5 times a week in addition to my class. Wish me luck! (I'm sure I'll need it!)

So, the week after New Years brought a couple of changes. First of all, we put our house up for sale. It's time for a change. Secondly, Clay started a new job. He hired on with Conway Fire Department. This is something he always wanted to do and he finally got the chance. He left for the Fire Academy in Camden January 12, and will be gone for the next 7 weeks. I definitely know what it feels like to be a single mother! But, I am enjoying not having to cook! :-)

On January 8, Clay and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary. I'm posting a couple of pictures from the first couple of months we were dating. What I wouldn't give to look like that again!!!

Right now I'm in the process of planning Ty's birthday party. He will turn 6 on January 30. So, if I don't post again for another couple of weeks, you'll know why....just too many distractions! :-)
