Randomness

Since it's been awhile since I've blogged, I don't know where to begin! For now, I'll just post some pics and promise I'll do better with keeping up! (sorry, but these are not in order!)

One weekend we took a little "day trip." We just checked out some local sites and visited some flea markets. You can just see the excitement in Ty's face!

Ty and Noah at their big brothers' play.

Fourth of July at home

Another weekend we took a little trip to Hot Springs. We played putt-putt golf, rode go-carts and bumper boats, visited some bath houses, and shopped....and shopped...and shopped some more!

Yes, you can call me a bad mother. I have NO pictures of Ty actually playing baseball this year. I snapped this one after we got home from his last game! He played in Conway this year and loved it! His team wasn't the best...but they got a trophy for best sportsmanship!

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful {and Safe} Memorial Day weekend!

Clay is working today, so the boys and I are going to spend the day at the pool. Tomorrow we're going to the lake, and then cooking out on Monday!
What a great weekend!

For Sale

I recently started making wreaths for a few friends and selling some at a local flea market. So I thought,

"why not advertise on my blog?"

So...if you're in need of a super cute or totally funky wreath for your front door, I'm here to help!

These are just a few that I took picutres of, but I can make one customized just for you to match your decor.

What else you been lyin' to me about?

Easter 2010

Let me just tell ya...Easter was not the same around here this year. The boys think they're too old to be dressed in coordinating outfits (which they probably are). For goodness sakes...they wouldn't even stand together for me to take a picture of them, thus the seperate pictures above.
But, that's not it.
I'll have to start by telling you a little story....
One day last November Hunter came into my room early in the morning while I was getting ready for the day. The first thing out of his mouth was...."Santa's not real, is he?"
Crap.
I am NOT ready to have this conversation. He's only 9. That's not too old to believe in the big guy in the red suit, is it?
"Well honey, what do you think?"
"Well, I don't see how one man can deliver all those presents in just one night. But, there are so many movies with Santa in it, he has to be real. I now he's not though."
Then the tears started to flow.
What a great way to start the day.
The next day rolls around and Hunter and I are eating lunch. He looks over at me and says, "What else you been lying to me about?"
Really?
"Well, Hunter, what do you think?"
"I guess the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Leprachauns."
Leprachauns???
Really? Since when were they real?
"Yep, you got it, sweetie. Sorry."
"I don't understand why all you adults have to lie about all that stuff!"
After threatening him with his life if he told his brother, I didn't hear anything else about it. It actually went pretty smoothly.
One down. One to go.
So Easter rolls around. Since Hunter is too big to believe in the Easter bunny, it wasn't the same putting their baskets together. I did it anyway, but just wasn't as thrilled as I usually am.
Then comes the kicker.
Ty stayed home from school with me one day because he was sick. I was in my closet picking out my clothes, and Ty comes in there to ask me a question. All of a sudden all I hear is,
"The Easter Bunny isn't real!"
...and Ty goes running out of the closet.
Crap.
Not even thinking about it, I had "hid" the baskets in my closet because the kids never go in
there. Until now, of course!
So I go and console Ty, and surprisingly, he wasn't that upset. I guess he just had to get over the initial shock and then he was over it.
Needless to say, Easter will never be the same in our house. I have no babies anymore.
They grow up way to fast.

Zumba Craze

I just wanted to invite everyone out to the women's health fair at Conway Regional tomorrow. They are having tons of booths and free health screenings, and even Zumba demonstrations!!! So, if you ever thought about doing Zumba, here's your chance to check it out for free! We will be demonstating from 11:00-12:00 tomorrow in the Women's Center at the hospital.

If you can't make tomorrow, they are having another health fair Wedensday, May 5 at CHDC. We will be demonstrating Zumba at 10:15 that day.

Even if you're not interested in it, you can come and watch and laugh at me! I promise you'll be entertained!!!

One more Zumba plug....On May1, Advanced Physical Therapy is having a "Zumba-thon" from 8:00-12:00 to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The registration fee is $25 per person. That's 4 hours of Zumba (but it's for a good cause)!

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays

It's hard to believe that just two days ago, my "baby" turned 10 years old! Boy, time sure does fly! It is so amazing to sit back and think how fast your children really do grow. I feel like I've barely blinked my eyes and he's half grown! I am so proud of the young man he's become. He is so smart and talented (and not to mention handsome!)
Happy Birthday Hunter!
Today is Clay's 31st birthday. Wow...he's OLD!!!! :)
I am throwing him a surprise party tonight so I have a busy day ahead of me. I'll try to post picutres of all the weekend festivities as soon as I can.
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun...

Seriously...that should be new motto. I can't believe it's been three whole months (and a couple of days) since my last post.

I'll try to catch you up in a flash

First of all....Christmas. I had surgery two days before Christmas, so we spent the entire week with my parents. (Yes, I am a grown woman, and yes, I still need my momma to take care of me when I'm in pain) I couldn't have made it that week without them. Since I was recovering and heavily medicated...I didn't have a camera for taking pictures of the boys opening their presents. My dad snap a few pics, but he still hasn't sent them all to me. Maybe I'll get them before next Christmas!
A couple of weeks after Christmas, Clay and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary! It's hard to beleive we've been married for that long, I don't feel like I'm even old enough to have been married for that many years! I am so glad to be married to him though...he is the best hubby in the world...he's my best friend and I couldn't live without him.

These are the gorgeous flowers Clay sent me on our anniversary

So let's see....after that came Ty's birthday! He turned 7 on January 30. Wow....my baby is 7. That IS hard to believe! We didn't have a big party, which turned out to be a good thing since we were pretty much snowed in on hs birthday! We did manage to have a couple of kids over and had dinner at his favorite place...US Pizza and then went bowling.

After Ty's birthday came MY BIRTHDAY!!! UGH!!! Yes, this year was especially difficult for me, I turned 30!!! When did that happen??? I remember when I thought 30 was old...who am I kidding...I still think 30 is old and I don't want to be old!!! In his efforts to make my birthday as painless as possible, Clay planned a little surprise party for me.

I'm sure there's more I'm leaving out, but that's all for now. The boys and I are on Spring Break this week and we are going to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather!
